Representatives of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund (Damu) of Kazakhstan got familiar with KOBİA’s experience 03.04.24

Presentations on support and services provided to the KOBİA environment, and SMBs in our country have been organized for the Kazakhstan delegation.

The representatives of the "Damu” Entrepreneurship Development Fund of Kazakhstan visited our country to explore the experience of Azerbaijan in the field of small and middle entrepreneurship.

The visit took place in the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the Fund. During the visit which lasted two days, presentations on SMB legislation, support and services in this field, including KOBİA's activities, SMB Friend and SMB House mechanisms, and projects carried out for the creation and development of new SMB entities were held for the Kazakhstan delegation, and questions of the delegation were responded.

The guests also got acquainted with conditions created for providing services to entrepreneurs in a single location in “Baku SMB House”.

Note that on March 2024, the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation was signed between KOBİA and the "Damu" Entrepreneurship Development Fund of Kazakhstan. The document entails several measures to further foster SMB relations between the two countries, including data and experience exchange, the realization of training programs in the field of entrepreneurship, the creation and promotion of joint projects, the organization of a variety of actions, etc.

Together with the Memorandum, a Roadmap on holding support measures for small and middle businesses was also approved. As part of the Memorandum, a group of employees of KOBİA are to visit Kazakhstan to share their experience in the field of support and services to SMBs.
