“The favorable business environment created in our country, various support mechanisms and services are important in terms of promoting entrepreneurship among young people. From a global perspective, the digital economy and the 4th Industrial Revolution also create opportunities for young people. Young people can create new businesses using modern technologies and innovative approaches.”

The statement came from chairman of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) Orkhan Mammadov at a roundtable on youth participation in decision-making in Azerbaijan with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. It was noted that one of the main goals of KOBİA is to increase the role of SMEs in the economy, in creating added value, to further increase their share of employment and exports. Young entrepreneurs can play a special role in achieving these goals. In this regard, the development of entrepreneurship among young people, business thinking are encouraged, social entrepreneurship is supported. Statistics also show that the number of young people among successful businessmen has increased, and they prefer to start a business in more innovative areas. Young people are also interested in social entrepreneurship. KOBİA will continue to support the activities of young people and young entrepreneurs through various mechanisms.
