The potential of SMBs in business education to be used 19.12.19

The Conference "Business Education in Azerbaijan: Current Situation and Ways of Development" was organized by the Fund of Assistance to Development of Entrepreneurship and Market Economy on December 19.

Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, delivered a speech at the event, and noted that one of the main areas of activities of the Agency is to increase the knowledge and skills of small and medium businesses and highlighted measures and new mechanisms implemented by the Agency in the field. It was noted that the analysis of numerous applications submitted to the Agency also shows that there is a strong need for SMBs to improve their knowledge and skills in the field of business management. Activities of SMBDA are based on mutual interaction with science and education centres in many areas. The agency is also interested in taking advantage of the potential of SMBs operating in the business education sector in developing models and mechanisms aiming to support SMBs.

Works have started to establish the SMB Development Centers under the Agency's structure, and the first such center will be launched in the Khachmaz region within a short time. The Agency is also working on creating an SMB Training and Consulting Platform and providing SMBs with the most up-to-date methods and training content soon.
