The Ministry of Justice and KOBİA Hold a Meeting with Business Associations

It was decided that the opinions and proposals voiced by entrepreneurs will be jointly implemented by the Ministry of Justice and KOBİA through a coordinated working mechanism, with responsible focal points assigned by both institutions.

On 3th of November, a meeting was held with members of public unions representing entrepreneurs operating across various sectors, jointly organized by the Ministry of Justice and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA).

The event, dedicated to the topic “The Impact of Institutional and Legislative Reforms in the Field of Justice on Entrepreneurial Development, and the Role of Upholding the Rule of Law in the Country’s Sustainable Development,” brought together representatives of nearly 20 business associations and entrepreneurs.

The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors, enhance support for business activities, and contribute to the further improvement of the entrepreneurial environment in the country.

In his remarks, Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov spoke about the legislative and institutional steps implemented in recent years to improve justice sector operations, increase transparency, and enhance efficiency. He emphasized that public–private partnership plays a crucial role in the development of various sectors, and that proposals and initiatives put forward by the private sector will significantly contribute to reforms carried out within the Ministry’s areas of responsibility. It was noted that the active involvement of entrepreneurs in legal and institutional reform processes is vital for achieving the intended goals.

Chairman of KOBİA’s Management Board Orkhan Mammadov emphasized that, as entrepreneurial activity evolves dynamically, new challenges and requirements must be adequately reflected in legislation. He noted that KOBİA closely follows institutional reforms in this field and conveys the needs and challenges of SMEs regarding the legal environment to the relevant state institutions. Additionally, thematic meetings and trainings are organized to enhance legal awareness among entrepreneurs, cooperation is fostered with justice authorities to strengthen institutional dialogue, and legislative improvement proposals are submitted to the relevant bodies. The active participation of stakeholders entrepreneurs and business associations in the development of the business environment and in the improvement of entrepreneurial legislation is of great importance. Since entrepreneurs’ proposals are based on practical needs, their consideration enables more flexible and effective approaches to regulating economic activity.

During the meeting, the opinions and suggestions of entrepreneurs were heard, and discussions were held on expanding cooperation. It was agreed that the views and proposals raised by entrepreneurs will be jointly implemented by the Ministry of Justice and KOBİA through a coordinated working process, and responsible focal persons will be designated by both institutions.
