Baku hosted the Business Forum of the Republic of Azerbaijan - the Republic of Udmurtia of the Russian Federation.


Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Ministry of Economy Orkhan Mammadov said that business relations with the regions of the Russian Federation are developing, and there are opportunities to expand cooperation with Udmurtia. He informed about the activities of the Agency, SMBDA's support for the establishment of contacts between businessmen and the implementation of joint initiatives. 


It should be noted that the business forum was organized by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) and the Development Corporation of the Republic of Udmurtia of the Russian Federation with the support of the Ministry of Economy. The event was attended by Azerbaijani and Russian officials, representatives of about 50 companies specializing in the food industry, furniture, railway equipment and other fields, as well as higher education institutions. At the business forum, discussions were held on prospective areas of cooperation and joint initiatives between business circles, and bilateral meetings were held.
