SMBDA stand won “The Best Social Project” award

The exhibition stand of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SMBDA) was awarded the “Best Social Project” award at the 2nd Azerbaijan International Exhibition of Gift & Promo Products ("Gift & Promo 2019").

Handicrafts mainly made by women and disabled entrepreneurs were displayed at the special stand created with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SMBDA) and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) at the 2nd Azerbaijan International Exhibition of Gift & Promo Products ("Gift & Promo 2019") and the 2nd Azerbaijan International Advertising and Printing Exhibition ("AdPrint 2019") on September 12-14 in Baku. Almost total of 50 assortments of souvenirs, wood carving, carpet weaving and decorative-applied art samples, jewelry, and accessories, toys, etc., mostly created by women and disabled entrepreneurs were exhibited at the stand.

Moreover, various clothing and accessories made by micro and small entrepreneurs were displayed at the event organized within the program on the third day of the exhibition.

Note that SMBDA supports the participation of micro and small entrepreneurs, especially women and disabled entrepreneurs, start-ups and young people in various exhibitions and festivals held in our country. The main goal of these support activities is to help SMBs to present their products and services, expand sales opportunities, and build business relationships.
