The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) closely cooperates with universities and vocational schools and implements projects to meet the needs of business entities in professionally qualified personnel, to promote entrepreneurship among young people.


On May 27, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, and Sabuhi Abdullayev, Head of the Gabala District Executive Power, visited the Gabala State Vocational Education Center, which trains highly qualified personnel. They got acquainted with the conditions and maker spaces created here, as well as trainings held within the "Youth Business Workshop" project jointly implemented by KOBİA, the State Employment Agency and the State Agency on Vocational Education. The sides exchanged views with the leadership of the Gabala State Vocational Education Center on vocational training and the work done within the project, which meets the requirements of the private sector. It should be noted that the "Youth Business Workshop" project is currently being implemented in Jalilabad, Agdam and Gabala. The project involves final year students receiving vocational education. Young people who successfully complete business training will be provided with appropriate equipment to start their own business. 


Representatives of KOBİA also visited the lavender farm located in Chukhur Gabala village of Gabala region and got acquainted with the farm's activities and agro-tourism potential. It should be noted that KOBİA has provided various support and services for the establishment of a lavender farm.
