At the meeting, discussions were held with entrepreneurs on the establishment and development of businesses, and their views and proposals were heard.
A meeting was organized with entrepreneurs operating in the district by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), with the support of the Shirvan City Executive Authority. The event brought together nearly 80 entrepreneurs active in the fields of agriculture, industry, and livestock breeding, as well as representatives of relevant government institutions.
During the meeting, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Management Board of KOBIA, and Ilgar Abbasov, Head of the Shirvan City Executive Authority, provided detailed information on entrepreneurial activity in the district, the favorable business environment, state support measures being implemented, and the district’s economic potential. Within the framework of the state–entrepreneur cooperation platform, it was noted that, in addition to its industrial traditions, the district also possesses significant potential in trade, logistics, and services. It was emphasized that entrepreneurs operating in Shirvan and surrounding cities and districts can apply to SME Friends to receive support in areas such as information, consultancy, coordination, and other services related to business establishment and the expansion of existing operations.
The entrepreneurs’ opinions and proposals were heard at the meeting, and an exchange of views was held on the issues raised. Discussions covered matters such as the allocation of land plots for the construction of enterprises, the connection of greenhouse facilities to utility services, the provision of concessional loans, and other related issues, and the entrepreneurs’ questions were addressed.
KOBIA representatives also familiarized themselves with the operations of a sewing workshop owned by individual entrepreneur Seyidzaman Samadov in Shirvan and the roofing materials manufacturing facility of “Teodoro” LLC in Hajigabul, and exchanged views with the entrepreneurs on business development.
