Next meeting of the "Corporate governance, investments and corporate social responsibility" working group held 13.09.23

At the meeting of the "Corporate governance, investments and corporate social responsibility" working group, discussions were held on the work done towards the implementation of the Action Plan for 2023, the results obtained and challenges experienced in the relevant field.

The next meeting of the "Corporate governance, investments and corporate social responsibility" working group led by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings was held.

Representatives of state bodies, as well as a number of public associations and consulting companies attended the online meeting.

Vusal Shikhaliyev, Head of the Secretariat of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, Head of the Sector at the Department of Economic Policy and Industrial Issues of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Orkhan Mammadov, Head of "Corporate governance, investments and corporate social responsibility" Working Group and Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, expressed their opinions that the working group will contribute to the implementation of the Action Plan for 2023 and future tasks, to the objective assessment of our country in the relevant rating reports of the measures taken.

At the meeting, the report of the working group on the work carried out towards the implementation of the Action Plan for 2023 was presented, and new challenges emerging in this area were discussed. The meeting also provided information on the activities of the sub-group on Environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) standards, established within the scope of the respective working group.

It is worth noting that the Action Plan of the "Corporate governance, investments and corporate social responsibility" Working Group for 2023 includes 48 measures on the assessment of 3 important ratings, namely the Global Competitiveness Report, the Index of Economic Freedom and the Global Innovation Index. 11 state bodies and organizations are involved in the implementation of the measures.
