At the meeting, development opportunities of entrepreneurship in the district were discussed, and proposals of business entities were listened to.
A meeting with entrepreneurs operating in the district was held with the organization of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and with the support of the Yevlakh City Executive Power. At the event, around 100 entrepreneurs operating in agriculture, livestock, grain farming, cotton farming and other fields, as well as representatives of state bodies, participated.
At the meeting, the Head of Yevlakh City Executive Power, Anar Taghiyev, and the Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, Orkhan Mammadov, provided information on entrepreneurial activity in the district and on state support instruments for the realization of existing opportunities. It was noted that Yevlakh district is among the districts where agriculture and industry develop in parallel. The “Yevlakh SME House” ensures the provision of services of state and private bodies to entrepreneurs in a single place and facilitates access of business entities to state services. Such factors make Yevlakh district favorable for entrepreneurial activity. Entrepreneurs may use the geographical location and transport-logistics capabilities of the district to develop business initiatives in the areas of collection, storage, processing and transportation of agricultural products to other regions, and may give preference to small processing and service initiatives for packaging of local products and their bringing to markets. Active use of existing state support mechanisms in the implementation of business initiatives may provide additional stimulus for the expansion of entrepreneurial activity.
At the meeting, exchange of views was held with entrepreneurs on issues such as financial support for farm enterprises, provision with cold storage facilities for storage of agricultural products, connection to communal services and other services, provision with machinery related to cotton farming, access to entrepreneurship support mechanisms and other issues, proposals were listened to and questions were answered.
KOBİA representatives also visited a leather and skin processing enterprise in Yevlakh, and exchanged views with entrepreneurs on business development and use of state support instruments.
