KOBİA at the annual meeting of INSME 09.10.23

At the 19th Annual Meeting of INSME, information was provided on the electronicization of support and services provided by KOBİA to SMBs in our country, and the support of innovative initiatives.

The 19th Annual Meeting of the International Network for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (INSME) was held in Berlin, Germany. Relevant institutions of INSME member countries, including the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) attended the event.

Speaking at the panel on "Digital transformation in the future success of SMBs", Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, informed about the digitalization of support and services provided to SMBs by the Agency, and the support of their innovative initiatives. It was highlighted that measures are being further taken to transfer SMB houses, where services are provided to entrepreneurs by state and private institutions, to the "E-SMB house" digital platform. The number of SMBs awarded the "Startup" certificate, which provides tax benefits for the innovative initiatives of entrepreneurs obtained by KOBİA, and the grant support in the areas of education, science, research and support is increasing. KOBİA provides consulting and training services to entrepreneurs on digitalization of business, digital solutions in this field, e-commerce, among other topics, free of charge.

It is worth noting that INSME, bringing together about 70 members from different countries around the world, supports the dissemination of experience among institutions operating in the field of SMBs, advanced mechanisms in this field, public-private dialogue and international partnership. KOBİA has been a member of INSME since 2020. Organized by KOBİA, the 18th Annual Meeting of INSME focused on the theme "Strengthening SMBs: economic diversification and green development" was held in Baku in 2022.
