Internal Market Research Conducted in 9 Additional Areas for Entrepreneurs

At the initiative of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), internal market research has been conducted in nine areas in line with market demand for entrepreneurs. The research covers the following fields:

- production of bulgur and lentils;

- production of metal and plastic accessories and mechanisms for furniture;

- production of metal cans used in the packaging of construction materials and food products;

- production of cardboard boxes for packaging dairy and juice products;

- production of bicycle parts;

- production of insulation materials for construction;

- production of styrofoam (EPS – expanded polystyrene);

- processing of calcium carbonate;

- production of peanut-based products.

Entrepreneurs wishing to create products and services in these fields or to expand their existing activities may visit KOBIA’s official website to ознакомиться with the relevant internal market research reports (https://smb.gov.az/az/nav/daxili-bazar-arasdirmasi).

It should be noted that state support under the internal market research mechanism is provided by KOBIA. Internal market research is conducted either based on applications submitted by entrepreneurs or at KOBIA’s own initiative. For each internal market research study conducted upon the application of a micro-entrepreneurship entity, 80% of the incurred costs are covered by the state, while 50% of the costs are covered for studies carried out upon the application of a small entrepreneurship entity. The maximum amount of state support provided for each internal market research study is AZN 20,000.

Internal market research conducted based on entrepreneurs’ applications is implemented by KOBIA through a tender procedure in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Public Procurement.” Entrepreneurs may apply for internal market research by completing the relevant application form available on KOBIA’s website and submitting it to the Agency either in person or electronically. Internal market research conducted at KOBIA’s own initiative is determined based on the results of surveys carried out among entrepreneurs, as well as on documents adopted in connection with the country’s socio-economic development.
