Event held regarding the World Standards Day

At the World Standards Day event, information was also delivered on the work carried by KOBİA with entrepreneurs in the field of quality standards application.


An event for the World Standards Day was held under the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control, organized by the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND) and the Federal Institute of Physics and Technology of Germany, with the attendance of representatives of relevant state bodies and entrepreneurs.


At the event, information was given on measures taken by the state in the field of standardization, digital solutions in this field, the role and benefits of standards in the modern age, the features of standardization of construction materials, and mutual prospects were shared on the topic.


Speaking at the event, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, conveyed information on the significance of the application of quality standards in expanding the competitiveness and export of SMBs and the work carried out by the Agency with entrepreneurs in this field. It was emphasized that education of entrepreneurs in the field of standardization and other support measures are of substantial importance. In this regard, KOBİA also conducts various educational meetings, training and other events for business entities operating in the production and service sectors. The Agency allocates grants to SMBs` projects in the fields of education, science, research and support, and in the previous period, a project on obtaining certificates required for the export of non-oil products was funded. The expansion of public-private partnership will contribute to the further improvement of standards.
