Beekeepers participated in training

The beekeepers who successfully complete the training in Dashkasan will be granted bee families and relevant assets to support the expansion of their individual farms.

From March 30th to April 3rd, "AzerGold" CJSC held trainings for farmers with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) within the scope of the "Support for the development of beekeeping" project carried out in Dashkasan district for the second year.

The trainings, which mainly aims to develop the small business ecosystem in Dashkasan, promote beekeeping and boost natural honey production, lasted for 3 days. 32 farmers operating in Chowdar, Bayan, Gushchu villages and Shadakh settlement of Dashkasan district were trained on the rules of bee care, beekeeping and queen bee breeding by the consultants engaged in the project. As part of the program, methodical instructions were distributed to raise awareness towards the treatment and prevention of diseases that harm beekeeping.

Apart from that, the experts involved by Ganja SMB of KOBİA Development Center provided the training actors with detailed information on the measures taken towards entrepreneurship development, the exquisite environment established for business activity, and the mechanisms of providing beneficial financial support to entrepreneurial entities. Seminars were held for beekeepers on the access to financial resources, provision of subsidies, and organization of agrarian insurance.

The next stage of the project is planned to enhance the productivity and sustainability of bee colonies by performing work in apiaries under the veterinary-sanitary rules and conducting practical exercises in agricultural conditions. Villagers to successfully complete the training will be awarded certificates, bee colonies, and other related equipment to help them expand their private farms.
