"Azerbaijan - Türkiye: Joint Centenary" event held 26.04.23

KOBİA: By benefiting from the potential of Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the field of small and medium entrepreneurship to the maximum extent, we intend to convert the existing opportunities into practical projects and achieve deeper integration between SMBs.

The Heydar Aliyev Center hosted the event "Azerbaijan - Türkiye: Joint Centenary" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye.

At the event, Orkhan Mammadov, the Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), stated his opinions on cooperation between entrepreneurship and business community between the two countries. It was noted that the national leader played an invaluable role in achieving the current level of relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye. Heydar Aliyev's famous quote "One nation, two states" is an ample expression of the friendship and brotherhood of Azerbaijan and Türkiye and the cooperation between our countries is successfully continued today by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev. Within the scope of the rapidly developing economic relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, cooperation in the field of small and medium entrepreneurship is also expanding. The fact that 99% of business entities in both Azerbaijan and Türkiye are SMBs exhibits that there is a wide potential for developing this cooperation. Our goal is to maximize this potential, translate existing opportunities into practical projects and achieve deeper integration among SMEs. To this end, we work closely with partner public organizations, business associations, entrepreneurs and investors from Türkiye.
