Azerbaijan and the UAE will further expand relations in the field of SMB

Representatives of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SBMDA) met with Mohammed Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Al-Shehhi, Deputy Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates and Hamad Buamim, Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the meeting with the participation of the Trade Mission of our country to the United Arab Emirates, economic relations and cooperation prospects between Azerbaijan and the UAE were highlighted, discussions were held in the areas, such as relations in the field of small and medium business, joint events with the participation of SMBs, exchange of information and experience in the field of SMB.

Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of SMBDA, highlighted the importance of the development of entrepreneurship, especially with small and medium businesses in our country, and provided information on the activities and support mechanisms of SMBDA to develop SMBs. It was noted that SMBDA is successfully cooperating with the respective agency of Dubai in the SMB sector, and further expansion of relations in this direction will be discussed within the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates. At the same time, it was noted that the opening of the Pavilion of Azerbaijan at the ongoing “Global Village” International Fair in Dubai would give a affirmative contribution to the establishment of new cooperation among businessmen along with the presentation of Azerbaijani products
