On March 19, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) and the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population held an online meeting on the Public-Private Partnership in the Employment of Socially Vulnerable Groups of the Population.

 

The event arranged to inform business entities on programs and projects for the employment of socially vulnerable groups of the population, including the Wage Co-Financing Program, was attended by representatives of the SMBDA’s ‘Friend of Small and Medium Business’ Department Nijat Namazov, Adil Ahmadov and Nijat Alizada, representatives of the State Employment Agency Fatima Alakbarova, Azar Alizada, and Gadir Isayev, as well as entrepreneurs operating in various economy sectors and citizens from socially vulnerable groups.

 

At the online meeting, representatives of the State Employment Agency provided information on the work done over more than 2 years under a joint project for co-financing the wages of self-employed citizens and social employees, ongoing and prospective projects for supporting the employment of members of martyrs' families and veterans. It has been noted that other projects implemented by the State Employment Agency, including the Wage Co-Financing Program, also give preference to members of martyr families, disabled people, veterans, and people in particular need of social protection.

 

The SMBDA representatives stressed the importance of employment of citizens from socially vulnerable groups within the framework of the Public-Private Partnership platform and invited entrepreneurs to participate in co-financing wages and other programs.

 

In conclusion, answers were given to the participants’ questions about programs and projects offering special benefits to families of martyrs, veterans, disabled people, and war participants.
