During the meeting, discussions were held with entrepreneurs on realizing the district’s business potential through the use of state support instruments, and their proposals were heard.
A new meeting with entrepreneurs was organized in the Saatli district with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA).
More than 100 entrepreneurs operating in sectors such as cotton production, seed cultivation, dairy and dairy products manufacturing, and livestock breeding, as well as representatives of relevant state institutions, took part in the event held with the support of the Saatli District Executive Authority.
Chairman of KOBİA’s Management Board, Orkhan Mammadov, and Head of the Saatli District Executive Authority, Elmir Baghirov, provided information on entrepreneurial activity in the district, opportunities for business development and investment, and state support measures.
It was noted that agriculture plays a leading role in Saatli district. Cotton growing, grain farming, vegetable production, fruit growing and livestock breeding are among the district’s traditional economic activities. The processing and production enterprises, cold storage facilities, and the agro-leasing base operating in Saatli create new opportunities for entrepreneurs in both processing and technological support. Infrastructure projects implemented in the district in recent years have transformed Saatli into an important economic hub in the region. Water and land resources, along with state support measures, create favorable conditions for entrepreneurship in agriculture, industry and the services sector. Entrepreneurs may apply to KOBİA to unlock this potential.
During the meeting, discussions were held on financing business activities, pledging property as collateral for loans, cotton purchase prices, provision of subsidies and harvesting machinery, obtaining occupancy permits for buildings, and other issues. The needs and proposals of entrepreneurs were heard, and their questions were answered.
KOBİA representatives also attended the Agrarian Business Festival held in Saatli and familiarized themselves with the activities of “Aqro-Az” LLC’s cotton processing facility and “BFT Cheesella” LLC’s cheese production plant.
