A meeting was held with representatives of small and medium businesses operating in Sumgait 24.12.19

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to hold meetings with entrepreneurs to assist in identifying and solving their challenges.

The next such meetings were held with entrepreneurs within public-private dialogue in Sumgait and Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev settlement of the city.

Representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Food Safety Agency, National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers') Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund attended the meetings organized by SMBDA with the support of Sumgait City Executive Power.

Inquiries of small and medium businesses operating in the manufacturing and service sectors regarding utilities, access to financial resources, construction of production facilities, participation in the self-employment program, and registration of land plots were addressed at the meeting. It was stated that certain issues raised by entrepreneurs would be reviewed with the participation of relevant authorities, and entrepreneurs will be informed about the results.

Information on the activities of SMBDA was provided at the meeting and it was recommended to refer to the Agency’s “SMB Friend” operating in Sumgait in regards to the issues arising from entrepreneurial activity.

The survey was also conducted among over 30 entrepreneurs at the meeting held in Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev settlement.
