A blood donation campaign dedicated to Remembrance Day was held

More than 800 people participated in the blood donation campaign organized under the slogan “One Drop of Blood, Life for a Thousand Hopes”.

In connection with 27 September – Remembrance Day – a voluntary blood donation campaign was held with the joint organization of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the National Association of Businessmen (ICMA), with the partnership of the National Centre of Haematology and Transfusion, the Republican Blood Bank, “Marsol Group” and “Melhem International Hospital”.

The blood donation campaign organized under the slogan “One Drop of Blood, Life for a Thousand Hopes” was held on 23-25 September in the City of Baku at “Baku SME House”, the Republican Blood Bank and “Melhem International Hospital”, as well as in Lankaran, Shaki and Guba districts. Blood was donated by entrepreneurs and company employees who joined the campaign, including representatives of KOBİA, ICMA and “Marsol Group”.

More than 800 people, including the City of Baku and the regions, participated in the campaign, which was held for the third time. Haematologists checked the health condition of each donor in advance, and blood was collected from them after a comprehensive medical examination.   The blood that will be collected will be used in the treatment of patients with haemophilia and thalassemia, as well as other patients in need of blood.
