184 commercial disputes were resolved positively in the mediation centre located in “Baku SMB House” 18.03.24

Entrepreneurs may apply to the mediation centre located in “Baku SMB House” to resolve commercial disputes without filing a complaint with a court.

Business entities may apply to the mediation centre located in “Baku SMB House” as part of cooperation between Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) and Mediation Centre in order to resolve mutually and amicably the disputes arising from entrepreneurial activity without any recourse to court.

The majority of applications received by the mediation centre located in “Baku SMB House” on commercial issues in 2023 have been resolved in a positive way through mediation without taking legal action. So, an amicable adjustment was signed among parties on 184 commercial issues received by the mediation centre located in “Baku SMB House” in previous year.

Note that mediation is an alternative solution of disputes by neutral, independent and disinterested third parties until applying to the court. The mediation is also an effective solution method based on voluntary application of parties to resolve the commercial issues. The solution of business issues through mediation prevents time loss, additional expenses and spread of commercial secret.
