Türkiye-Azerbaijan cooperation event in construction technologies held with KOBİA

At the seminar organized by DEIK, the potential of Azerbaijan and Türkiye in construction and the contribution of this sector to the expansion of business initiatives were discussed.

As part of "Rebuild Karabakh", "BakuBuild", "Aquatherm Baku" and "Road&Traffic" exhibitions held at the Baku Expo Center, a seminar on "Türkiye-Azerbaijan cooperation in modern construction technologies" was held by the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Business Council of the Foreign Economic Relations Committee of Türkiye (DEİK).

Representatives of official bodies of both countries, representatives of business associations and businesspersons attended the event.

At the seminar, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), stated that the construction sector has a great potential for expanding business initiatives between our countries. There are cement plants, metal constructions, and modern building materials manufacturing enterprises in Azerbaijan working in line with new technologies. Azerbaijan is also rich in raw materials required to produce many types of construction materials. Since 2018, when the new SMB criteria were introduced, there has been an increase in the number of SMBs operating in the construction sector. Currently, some 15,000 SMBs are operating in this field. This manifests that the knowledge, skills and experiences of SMBs specializing in the relevant sector are fully developed. There are many opportunities for further development of cooperation in the construction field between Azerbaijan and Türkiye. KOBİA is also willing to support business circles in achieving this potential.
