Training is underway for entrepreneurs as part of the "Private sector development" project

Pieces of training are being held for farmers operating in the country’s regions, arranged by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency’s (SMBDA) SMB development centers (SMBDCs) with the support of the “Private sector development” project of the US Agency for International Development.

 

At the training “Sales opportunities for pomegranate growers” arranged in the Goychay region, agribusiness advisor Gabriel Eliaz provided 17 SMBs engaged in pomegranate growing with detailed information on pomegranate planting, intensive and semi-intensive orchards, harvesting and post-harvest management measures, packaging products, as well as the proper choice of export and sales market.

 

At the training “Certification of agricultural products” held in Lankaran with the participation of 10 SMBs, detailed information was provided on the certificate of origin and the appropriate state duty, accounting for sales of exported goods, income tax, customs clearance, and the “GAP” essence and certificates. In the course of the training, participants and experts exchanged views, and entrepreneurs’ questions were answered.
