Training for Employees of Travel Agencies has Started

On April 28, training started for the management and staff of travel agencies operating in the Guba-Khachmaz economic region.

 

The training, arranged by the Khachmaz SMB Development Center (SMBDC) of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) with the support of the Guba Destination Management Organization of the Tourism State Agency, is aimed at providing support in improving the level of preparedness of the staff of the Guba tourist facilities operating in the Guba-Khachmaz economic region, which has great tourism potential, for the summer tourist season, and developing HR potential in the field of tourism.

 

Training, which has been initially performed for the staff of travel agencies of the Guba region, will also be arranged for those operating in other zones of the Guba-Khachmaz economic region.

 

Two-week training will be held in travel agencies in groups in compliance with the pandemic regulations. Training comprising theoretical and practical parts will be performed by professional experts from the Khachmaz SMBDC on the topics of health and safety at tourist facilities, professional communication with clients, marketing and sales, hospitality, MSDS guidelines and rules for cleaning personnel, advanced international practice, and personal hygiene in the kitchen, the menu presentation, control over the sale of food and beverages when arranging hotel services, etc.

 

In general, more than 60 people are expected to attend the training in small groups.

Participants who successfully complete the training will be awarded certificates.
