Training events are being conducted within the framework of the "Partnering in Business with Germany" Programme, implemented through the joint partnership of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

During the training conducted by German experts, local entrepreneurs and managers are provided with information on international economic cooperation, the role of the green economy in business development, and the establishment of business relations with German enterprises, and answers are given to the questions of interest to them. At the next stage, the participants will travel to the cities of Dresden and Berlin in the Federal Republic of Germany. Within the framework of the visit, they will undergo training and internship at the Business Development Centre and at leading German companies, and will participate in B2B meetings. An international certificate will be presented to the participants who successfully complete the Programme.

It should be noted that more than 50 applications from local entrepreneurs and managers were submitted for participation in the "Green Economy" Programme announced in May of the current year. Individual interviews with the applicants were conducted in an online format with the participation of representatives of GIZ and KOBİA, and 21 of them obtained the right to participate in the Programme.

For information, we bring to your notice that in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany, the Programme implemented since 2009 (formerly the "Managers Training Programme") is aimed at enabling Azerbaijani entrepreneurs to acquire international experience in the field of business and to enhance their knowledge and skills. In total, until the present time, 621 entrepreneurs and managers from Azerbaijan have participated in the Programme.

According to the results of the survey conducted by the Azerbaijani side among 560 graduates of the Programme, many local companies that participated in the Programme established relations with German companies, some of them exported their products to Germany, and mutual investments were carried out. On the basis of the experience gained within the framework of the Programme, a number of local companies modernised their activities. In addition, the majority of the managers emphasised that the mentioned Programme played a significant role in their personal and career development, and also in the development of the companies where they work.
