Training and consulting services were provided to more than 3,000 entrepreneurs and those wishing to start a business 20.04.22

In the first quarter of this year, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) provided training and consulting services to more than 3,000 micro, small and medium enterprises, as well as those wishing to start a business to increase their knowledge and skills.

The Agency's SME Development Centers (SMEDC) operating in 21 cities and regions of the country have organized more than 200 free business trainings with the participation of more than 2,500 entrepreneurs, those wishing to start a business and startups. The trainings covered business planning and development, "green economy", corporate law, marketing and sales, finance, taxes, insurance, human resource management, exports, entrepreneurship legislation, professional communication skills and other areas.

During this period, SMEDСs provided consulting services to about 600 entrepreneurs on coordination with public and private institutions for the implementation of business ideas, access to financial resources and other areas. In the first quarter of 2022, SMEDCs supported entrepreneurs and those wishing to start a business in developing business plans for about 90 projects that will cover Baku and the regions.

During this period, 24 entrepreneurs and managers successfully passed an interview and participated in an international training course within the "German-Azerbaijani joint program to improve the skills of managers in the business community of Azerbaijan" coordinated by KOBİA on behalf of Azerbaijan and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf of Germany. In total, about 500 entrepreneurs and managers benefited from the program in 2009-2022.

The number of users of the video training platform created by KOBİA to increase the knowledge and awareness and to meet training needs of SMEs, those who want to start a business and startups in the field of online business has exceeded 600. SMEs and those wishing to start a business benefited from 180 free training videos in the areas such as starting a business, soft skills, corporate law, project management, finance, sales, marketing, tourism and export process organization by registering in the video training platform section of www.kobim.az.
