The project "Development of entrepreneurship and self-employment in rural areas" received more than 200 applications


The reception of applications for the project "Development of entrepreneurship and self-employment in rural areas" with the support of The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and the State Tourism Agency, has completed.


A total of 226 applications were received from citizens living in Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Sheki, Zagatala, Gakh, Lankaran, Astara and Lerik districts, where the project is implemented, and who want to engage in tourism business or provide self-employment. Most appeals were registered in Zagatala region.


At present, the citizens applying for the project are being selected, and the condition of the houses to be established as tourist facilities is being studied. Upon completion of the selection process, citizens will be involved in professional training to acquire relevant knowledge in the field of tourism and services, relevant work will be carried out in the area to be used as a tourist facility and equipped with the necessary equipment.


The project envisages the establishment of a total of 50 rural guest houses in these areas.
