The number of countries and organizations joining the “Joint Declaration on the Baku Climate Coalition for the Green Transition of SMEs”, an initiative put forward by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) with the aim of ensuring the active participation of SMEs in combating climate change, promoting green business initiatives and expanding international cooperation in this field, continues to increase. To date, a total of 10 countries and 27 local and international organizations have joined the Declaration. Detailed information about the Declaration is available on the website www.greensme.org. State bodies, international and local organizations, as well as business entities operating in the field of entrepreneurship and business in any country may join the Declaration.

Also, in 2025, around 10 events were organized to raise awareness of the Declaration among foreign countries, local and international organizations. It should be noted that the “Joint Declaration on the Baku Climate Coalition for the Green Transition of SMEs” is an international initiative put forward by KOBİA within the framework of COP29 held in Baku in 2024. This document proposes, for the first time for SMEs, the creation of a global climate movement. In the countries joining the Declaration, it is envisaged to organize trainings and seminars to increase the knowledge and skills of entrepreneurs in order to facilitate the green transition of SMEs and overcome existing challenges, exchange best practices, as well as establish Green SME Resource Centers.
