Within the framework of the “Year of Urban Development and Architecture”, a panel discussion on the topic “Leadership and Cooperation for Sustainable Cities and Blue-Green Infrastructure” was organized at the “Baku SME House”. The event, held with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and organized by the Global Oracle Association for Leaders (GOAL), was attended by representatives of state institutions and the private sector, as well as experts in the relevant field.

At the event, the founder and president of GOAL, Leyla Bagirzade, Adviser to the Chairman of the Management Board of KOBİA Elnur Aliyev, Chief Specialist of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Loredana Scuto, and Regional Coordinator for Europe of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Mahir Aliyev delivered speeches and shared their views on the environmental sustainability of cities, blue-green infrastructure, the circular economy and effective waste management, green financing and new investment opportunities, digitalization and carbon emissions monitoring, and urban ecosystems, and answered questions from the audience. Information was also provided at the event on the “Joint Declaration on the Baku Climate Coalition for the Green Transition of SMEs”, put forward by KOBİA within the framework of COP29.
