Supporting the development of female entrepreneurship is one of the priorities of KOBİA's activity

On November 23, the 5th Forum on "Opportunities on the Horizon: Green Light for Women Entrepreneurs" was jointly organized in Baku by the Ministry of Economy, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs and the Association for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan.

Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), spoke at the forum held as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. He highlighted the assistance and services offered by the Agency to female business owners. Statistics show that women make up more than 21% of private business owners, and their involvement in economic development continues to grow. One of the top priorities for KOBİA is to promote the expansion of female entrepreneurship to encourage women to pursue self-employment and entrepreneurship. Regular educational activities are conducted to assist the growth of women's entrepreneurship, to further expand the proportion of female small- and medium-sized business owners, to educate them about the support systems offered by the Agency, and to study their ideas and proposals. Women can benefit from the Agency's support and services for training, consulting, international professional development, access to financial resources and sales markets, grants, participation in exhibitions, internal market research, "Startup" certificate, etc., in order to start business activities and expand entrepreneurial activities.
