The number of micro and small entrepreneurs exempt from profit or income tax on innovation activities has reached 255.
An additional 9 applications from SMB entities have been submitted to the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) to obtain a “Startup” certificate. The applications were reviewed at a meeting of the Expert Council, and a decision was made to grant a “Startup” certificate to 8 of them.
“Startup” certificates were granted for the following projects:
Rashad Ibrahimli – a video game in the entertainment genre (Steam PC platform);
Sarkhan Abbaszada – production of video games under the “85 Games Studio” brand;
Ilkin Suleymanov – “Inframed Life,” an online management system for clinics;
Yahya Ismayilov – “Jupiter,” a co-op adventure video game;
Hasan Hasanov – “Meetra,” an online meeting room management platform;
Ilkin Aliyev – “Special Meat,” a computer game combining simulation and management genres;
“Proveb” LLC – “Qrgate,” a QR code-based attendance tracking and access control platform;
“Profmart” LLC – “Profmart,” an online service platform for professionals.
The issued “Startup” certificates exempt SMB entities from profit or income tax on revenues generated from the relevant innovative projects for a period of 3 years.
To date, KOBIA has issued “Startup” certificates to 255 micro and small entrepreneurs.
Micro and small business entities whose projects are at the development stage may apply to KOBIA for a “Startup” certificate.
