“Startup” Certificate Granted to SMEs

The “Startup” certificate exempts SMEs from profit or income tax on the revenue generated from their innovation activities for a period of three years.

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) has granted the “Startup” certificate to two more SME entities. During the next meeting of the Expert Council established within KOBIA for issuing the relevant documents, seven projects were reviewed, and the decision was made to grant the “Startup” certificate to two of them.

The “Startup” certificates were presented for the projects of " İloyal" LLC’s customer loyalty and digital menu management platform, and for the online marketplace and delivery service project in the food and non-food sector by individual entrepreneur Jamil Muradov.

In total, KOBIA has granted “Startup” certificates to 215 SMEs to date.

The “Startup” certificate exempts SMEs from profit or income tax on the revenue generated from their innovation activities for a period of three years, starting from the date the certificate is granted.

Micro and small business entities at the development stage of their projects may apply to KOBIA for the “Startup” certificate.
