SMBDA held a meeting at the Italian organizations operating in the field of SMB 20.02.20

A meeting was held between representatives of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) and the Italian Internationalization Agency (Promos Italia) within the framework of the visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Italy.

At the meeting, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of SMBDA, gave information about the activities of the Agency and opportunities for cooperation were discussed between the two countries in the field of SMBs. It was noted that it was important to increase the role of SMBs in the development of bilateral economic relations between Azerbaijan and Italy, and the two countries had great potential in this area. Proposals were made on exchange of experience in the field of service to SMBs, information exchange on investment potential of the two countries and joint projects, participation of Italian entrepreneurs in exhibitions to be held in Azerbaijan, establishment of the joint cooperation platform for SMBs at the meeting where the sides exchanged views on opportunities for cooperation with Promos Italia in the SMB sector.

A meeting organized at the Italian National Microcredit Agency held discussions on conducting joint webinars on SMB financing tools, studying the experience of the organization on innovative microfinance tools, and speech of a representative of the organization with a presentation at the event to be hosted in Baku.
