Online awareness-raising events organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SMBDA) with the participation of relevant government agencies are held to inform micro, small and medium businesses on various topics.

The next online awareness-raising event was organized by SMBDA with the support of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the State Employment Service under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection for SMBs who operated in the agricultural sector and farmers who joined the self-employment program on November 6.

Necessary organizational and admin resources have been established at the SMBDA headquarters, as well as the SMB Friend Offices operating in different cities and regions of the country and at the State Agricultural Development Centres under the Ministry of Agriculture to ensure that entrepreneurs and farmers who joined self-employment program could benefit from online awareness-raising events and get more detailed information on the latest agricultural developments.

During an online event, experts from the Ministry of Agriculture provided entrepreneurs and farmers with information on the state support measures in the agricultural sector, including leasing of agricultural machinery and pedigree animals, discount sales of mineral fertilizers and pesticides, the organization of trade fairs for agricultural products, a soft loan financing, as well as new subsidy rules to be applied from January 1, 2020.

During the event, experts of the Ministry of Agriculture answered numerous questions of entrepreneurs and farmers who joined the self-employment program.

In total, more than 1,300 entrepreneurs and farmers benefited from an online awareness-event.

The online awareness event was broadcast directly via "Facebook" pages of SMBDA and the Ministry of Agriculture.
