Opportunities for Cooperation discussed between SMBDA and TURKPA 03.03.20

Altynbek Mamaiusupov, Secretary-General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking States (TURKPA), visited the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At a meeting with Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of SMBDA, the parties shared information on the activities of TURKPA, support for SMBs in our country, and legislative initiatives of SMBDAs in this area, and exchanged views on cooperation between the Agency and relevant bodies of member countries of the Assembly, including Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS), Turkish Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB), and “Damu” Entrepreneurship Development Fund of Kazakhstan.

The topics discussed at the meeting included the issues such as support to SMBDA to review the legislation of the TURKPA member-states in the field of small and medium businesses and alternative financing, organizing of joint events on social, women and youth entrepreneurship, and the participation of TURKPA in the events organized by the Agency.
