The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) under the Ministry of Economy hosted a meeting with the members of the Public Council under the Ministry. Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship, support and services provided to SMEs, and the Public Council’s contribution to the Agency’s public engagement process were discussed during the meeting.


The Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, Orkhan Mammadov, informed about the work done in the sphere of SMEs, the study and application of international experience in this sphere, measures to expand the scope of support and services provided to SMEs. It was stated that KOBİA places a high value on public discussions in order to improve the quality of services offered to entrepreneurs, boost productivity in this area, and guarantee entrepreneur satisfaction. Also reportedly a Public Council operates under KOBİA.


At the meeting held in the context of mutual conversation, the significance of the involvement of civil society institutions, public consultations, and consideration of public opinion in the actions of public legal entities was stressed.


The Public Council members' thoughts on the potential directions for collaboration were discussed throughout the meeting, and their ideas and queries were addressed.
