During the event, entrepreneurs were informed about access to financial resources and existing state support mechanisms in this area.

A meeting was held with local entrepreneurs in the city of Shaki within the framework of the “Regional Partners Development” Project. The event was organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and Marsol Group, with the support of the Shaki City Executive Authority and the National Association of Entrepreneurs (ICMA). More than 50 entrepreneurs operating in the fields of food production, agriculture, tourism, ICT, construction, and other sectors participated in the meeting.

The event aimed to inform entrepreneurs operating in the regions about the opportunities for accessing financial resources and existing state support mechanisms, as well as to foster business cooperation between entrepreneurs from the capital and the regions. Entrepreneurs from Baku also took part in the meeting.

The event featured speeches by Elkhan Usubov, Head of the Shaki City Executive Authority; Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA; and Tural Mustafayev, Founder of Marsol Group and Chairman of the Board of ICMA. The speakers provided information on the support and services available to entrepreneurs, including state concessional loans, subsidies, innovations in business financing, alternative financing tools, inter-business cooperation opportunities, and the economic potential of the region for entrepreneurial activity.

It was noted that Shaki possesses strong potential in the areas of agriculture, industry, and tourism. The region’s traditional sectors such as silk production, viticulture, and fruit growing are being strengthened through the development of modern agricultural technologies and processing industries. Shaki’s rich cultural heritage has made it a leading tourism destination. Infrastructure projects and entrepreneurship support measures have further enhanced Shaki’s attractiveness for investors. The establishment of new enterprises, supported by state programs and entrepreneurial initiatives, is contributing to the growth of employment in the region.

The speakers also provided recommendations on expanding cooperation between local entrepreneurs and businesspeople from Baku, conducting in-depth studies of local market demands and needs, maximizing the use of digital economy opportunities, and increasing awareness and utilization of state support mechanisms available to businesses.

Within the framework of the meeting, entrepreneurs’ requests and proposals were heard on topics such as access to financial resources, licensing, fertilizer import, international freight transport, support for the development of local educational institutions, tax administration, and other related issues. Explanations were provided regarding legislative requirements and available support tools, and participants’ questions were answered.

As part of their visit to Shaki, representatives of KOBİA also visited the “Zeyzid Glamping” accommodation complex located in Bash Zeyzid village. They exchanged views with the entrepreneur on the development of tourism in the region, expansion of business activities, and opportunities for KOBİA’s support.
