At the meeting held with entrepreneurs, issues related to the development of livestock farming, obtaining concessional loans, participation of SMEs in procurement, and support for attracting professional specialists to a garment enterprise were discussed.
A meeting with entrepreneurs was held in Ismayilli district through the joint organization of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the Ismayilli District Executive Authority. The purpose was to study the proposals and needs of business entities regarding the development of entrepreneurship in the district, as well as to inform them about the existing state support mechanisms.
Nearly 70 business entities operating in the fields of agriculture, beekeeping, public catering and horticulture, as well as representatives of state institutions providing support and services to entrepreneurs, participated in the event.
Mahmud Suleymanov, First Deputy Head of the Ismayilli District Executive Authority, and Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Management Board of KOBİA, provided information on the development of entrepreneurship in the region, the state's support mechanisms and the work carried out to improve the business environment. It was noted that the predominance of mountainous and foothill areas in Ismayilli district creates favorable conditions for agriculture and tourism. Horticulture, viticulture, grain growing, livestock farming, beekeeping and vegetable growing are the agricultural sectors forming the economic profile of Ismayilli. Processing-oriented production has been formed on the basis of primary and partially deep processing of agricultural products, while the industrial and trade sectors are also developing in the district.
It was noted that, by making use of the existing opportunities of the district, the development of business initiatives in the areas of collection, storage, processing and transportation of agricultural products to other regions, giving preference to small processing and service initiatives for the packaging of local products and their access to markets, increasing productivity through the application of modern technologies and efficient management methods, expanding cooperation among entrepreneurs, and actively using the existing state support mechanisms will serve the expansion of entrepreneurial activity and the creation of new opportunities.
At the meeting, the appeals of entrepreneurs regarding support for the expansion of the livestock farming sector, obtaining concessional loans, participation of SMEs in the procurement process, support for attracting specialists to a garment enterprise and other issues were heard, and their questions were answered.
