Meeting of the Working Group on “Corporate Governance, Investments, and Corporate Social Responsibility” Held 30.09.25

At the meeting of the Working Group, participants discussed the work carried out during 2025 within the framework of the implementation of the Action Plan.

The next meeting of the Working Group on “Corporate Governance, Investments, and Corporate Social Responsibility”, led by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) under the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, was held in an online format.

The meeting was attended by Vusal Shikhaliyev, Head of the Sector at the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Secretariat of the Commission; Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA; as well as representatives from the Ministries of Economy, Justice, Ecology and Natural Resources, and Energy, the Central Bank, the State Statistics Committee, the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms, the Ministry of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and other relevant institutions.

During the session, presentations were delivered by the respective agencies on the implementation of the Working Group’s Action Plan for the past period of 2025 and on the activities undertaken in relation to the indicators of the Global Innovation Index. The implemented measures and achieved outcomes were reviewed. It was emphasized that particular attention is being paid in the 2025 Action Plan to ensuring that relevant indicators are reflected in rating reports and to enhancing awareness among business representatives and the public about the reforms carried out. As a result of these efforts, Azerbaijan ranked 2nd among 139 countries under the “Entrepreneurship Policy and Culture” sub-indicator of the Global Innovation Index.

The meeting also included discussions on current issues, upcoming tasks, and the development of the Action Plan for 2026 of the Working Group.
