During the event, discussions were held on unlocking business potential in the Zardab district through the use of state support instruments, and entrepreneurs’ proposals were heard.
A meeting with entrepreneurs operating in the district was held, organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) with the support of the Zardab District Executive Authority. The event brought together more than 130 entrepreneurs working in agriculture, crop production, livestock farming, floriculture, public catering, and the trade sector, along with representatives of relevant government institutions.
The Head of the Zardab District Executive Authority, Mardan Jamalzada, and the Chairman of KOBIA’s Board, Orkhan Mammadov, provided information on the district’s economic potential, entrepreneurial activity and the favorable business environment, as well as business opportunities and state support mechanisms. It was noted that agriculture and livestock farming play a leading role in Zardab. Crop production, grain farming, sericulture, and fish farming are among the district’s traditional areas of activity. The district’s terrain, along with its proximity to the Kura River and irrigation systems formed along the river, creates favorable geographical conditions for agriculture, which strengthens its economic potential. By leveraging these opportunities, entrepreneurs who wish to establish a business or expand their operations in Zardab can benefit from KOBIA’s support mechanisms.
During the meeting, topics such as the provision of concessional loans, increasing the number of cold storage facilities, documentation procedures for constructing a children’s entertainment center within a public catering facility, participation in grant competitions, obtaining a household certificate, installation of artificial irrigation systems for the grain sector, and other matters were discussed. Entrepreneurs’ needs and proposals were heard, and their questions were addressed.
As part of the visit to Zardab, KOBIA representatives also visited the sewing workshop of entrepreneur Emil Malikzada and the plastic and wooden door-and-window manufacturing facility of “Zəfər X” LLC. During the visits, discussions were held on available state support tools to help entrepreneurs implement their future plans.
