"First online forum of entrepreneurs Baku-2020” continues

On September 22, with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), the “First International Online Entrepreneurs Forum – Baku 2020” was held to motivate entrepreneurs in coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) and post-pandemic times, to study international experience in this field and to discuss the challenges faced by entrepreneurs during the pandemic.

As part of the event, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of SMBDA Zaur Gardashov, Deputy Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Youth Fund Gadir Khalilov, Member of Parliament Erkin Gadirli, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Young Entrepreneurs Network Public Union Khalig Ildirimzade expressed their views on the development of entrepreneurship in the country, and on the measures on state support for the private sector, especially to support entrepreneurs during the pandemic, the involvement of young people in entrepreneurial activities, as well as pandemic challenges and opportunities.

Presentations were made by Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Cooperation Organization Hikmet Eren (Turkey), Research Director of the UN Development Program Leyla Seyidzade, co-founder of “Tespack”, Finnish entrepreneur included in Forbes' 30 under 30 list Caritta Seppa (Finland), professional coach and business-trainer, expert in emotional intelligence Elchin Azimli (Azerbaijan), founder of "Needlab" Sameera Chukapalli (Spain) and business-trainer, motivation expert Anar Mammadov (Azerbaijan).

Head of the forum organizer "SA Consulting" Afgan Safarly and Chairman of the forum partner the youth public association "Odlar Yurdu" Nigar Alasgarova spoke about the purpose of the forum, topics to be discussed in the forum and speakers.

Then within the framework of forum were held panel discussions on "Opportunities and Challenges of the Crisis". At the panel session businessmen presented presentations about sales, crisis and social entrepreneurship during the pandemic, the impact of COVID-19 on business and personal growth, held discussions on the topics, as well as responded to the questions of participants of the event.

The online forum will continue until September 23 with a panel discussion on the topic "International experience and entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan”. At the session First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Agency Natig Hasanov spoke about entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan, founder of “Recipes for Wellbeing” and trainer Greta Rossi (Italy), co-founder and researcher of “Rearts” Azim Hamid (Pakistan), founder of the “Hypper” platform Pannawat Viraburinon (Thailand), founder of the social business “Biryudumkitap” and digital agency “Folx” Alparslan Demir (Turkey), social entrepreneur Ismail Khilmi Adiguzel (Turkey), founder of the mobile football startup “Eleven Kings” Orkhan Rzayev (Azerbaijan), the head of “Digital Mahal” Mahal Aliyeva (Azerbaijan) shared their views and international experience on the topic of challenges and opportunities of crisis, social entrepreneurship, digital marketing and startups during the pandemic period.

The International Online Entrepreneurs Forum - Baku 2020” held with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of Azerbaijan organized by the "SA Consulting" LLC in partnership with the youth public association "Odlar Yurdu", Youth Center for Social Business, "SAT Group", Business Club "Networking.az", "Majlis Business Network" and the "Eurasian Economic Cooperation Organization”.
