On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, a scientific conference on "Heydar Aliyev's role in the formation of a sustainable economy" organized by the State Service for Antimonopoly Control and Supervision of the Consumer Market under the Ministry of Economy was held.

In his speech at the event, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) Orkhan Mammadov supplied information on the effective measures taken by the Great Leader in the towards the formation of entrepreneurship in our country. In his speech, it was also noted that Heydar Aliyev, who laid stress upon the fact that the future economic development of the country depends on the private sector, signed a number of decrees and orders in this field, adopted laws and state programs, formed institutional support mechanisms, and held meetings with local and foreign businessmen. As a result of these measures implemented, a class of entrepreneurs has been formed in Azerbaijan, and the role of the private sector in the socio-economic development of the country has ratched up.
