A seminar on "The role of GS1 system and barcodes in exports, the importance of automatic identification technologies" was held in Gabala and Zagatala regions with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and within the US Agency for International Development's Private Sector Development Project.


Entrepreneurs engaged in the production and export of agricultural products and services were informed about the advantages of the GS 1 system, which is used to increase business efficiency, improve the identification process of accounting entities, and regulate information flows. Representatives of GS1 Azerbaijan explained the system's ability to identify information about products and services, the role of international bar coding standards in exports, as well as points to pay attention to the barcode during export. During the seminar, the accounting and inventory process via barcode was demonstrated visually, and participants' questions on the topic were answered.
