After the results of market research have been summarized, the reports will be posted on the KOBİA website for use by entrepreneurs.
The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) plans to conduct domestic market research in 10 more areas on the initiative of KOBİA. The purpose is to support entrepreneurs in making investment decisions, enhance familiarity with promising production areas and contribute to the formation of new business initiatives.
The research will cover the following areas:
- production of leather footwear;
- production of construction products containing perlite;
- production of filters for dialysis machines;
- assembly of household appliances;
- production of earthenware (ceramic) sanitary products;
- vertical farming (cultivation of valuable plants);
- assessment of the production potential of electric vehicle batteries in Azerbaijan and domestic market demand;
- production prospects for 3D printers and 3D printing materials;
- possibilities for establishing local production of water treatment and filtration systems;
- prospects for establishing electronic waste recycling enterprises.
After the results of market research in the specified areas have been summarized, the reports will be posted on the official website of KOBİA for use by entrepreneurs wishing to create products and services in the relevant areas, as well as expand their activities (https://smb.gov.az/az/nav/daxili-bazar-arasdirmasi).
Government support for the domestic market research mechanism is provided by KOBİA. Domestic market research is conducted based on an application from an entrepreneur and on the initiative of KOBİA. Domestic market research conducted on the initiative of the Agency is determined based on the results of surveys conducted among entrepreneurs, as well as documents adopted in connection with the socio-economic development of the country, and all entrepreneurs can use such reports.
In market research conducted based on an application from an entrepreneur, if the applicant is a micro entrepreneur, 80% of the expenses incurred for the market research are covered by the state, while if the applicant is a small entrepreneur, 50% of the expenses incurred for the research are covered by the state. The report prepared based on the results of market research conducted on the basis of an application from an entrepreneur is provided only to the entrepreneur who applied.
