Dashkasan beekeepers involved in trainings on the honey extraction season

Organized by "AzerGold" CJSC, with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), the next trainings for farmers were held within the scope of the project "Support for the development of beekeeping", which has been implemented in Dashkasan district for the second year.

32 farmers operating in Bayan, Gushchu, Chovdar villages and Shadakh settlement of the district were provided with advice on honey extraction, use of equipment, as well as product packaging rules in the theoretical trainings, mainly aimed at contributing to boosting the production volume of beekeeping products in Dashkasan district. The beekeepers were instructed by the project expert about the physico-chemical indicators of natural honey, the supply of beekeeping products such as royal jelly, propolis, and beebread, bee wax pursuant to veterinary and sanitary regulations. Methodical instruction booklets were distributed on the directions mentioned at the training. Lastly, bee wax and hive frames were given to the training attendants to support the individual farms.

It is worth highlighting that 56 farmers involved in the project, including last year, received 216 fully equipped bee colonies, bee boxes and other necessary supplies. As a continuation of the project, it is planned to make bee extraction machines available to the common use of all the beekeepers-farmers living in the villages of Chovdar, Bayan and Gushchu to further assist the production process of the honey supplied by the beekeepers.
