More than 7,000 entrepreneurs have benefited from support and services aimed at enhancing the business knowledge and skills of SMEs.
In 2025, a total of 751 trainings were organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) with the aim of improving the business knowledge and competencies of SME entities and increasing awareness of entrepreneurship. The trainings, held in Baku and across the regions, were tailored to the needs of SMEs and covered topics such as sales, marketing, accounting, human resource management, branding, implementation of innovations in business, business plan development, project management, the “green economy,” and other related areas. In addition, 475 entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs benefited from online training videos, training materials, and self-assessment tests available on the Agency’s video training platform.
During the previous year, KOBIA also provided advisory services to 340 entrepreneurs and individuals planning to start a business in areas including access to sales channels, marketing, business planning, accounting, and legal matters.
In 2025, the Agency supported the preparation of 288 business plans in the fields of agriculture, manufacturing, services, and other sectors.
Overall, in 2025, more than 7,000 SME entities, startups, and individuals planning to start a business benefited from the support and services provided by KOBIA aimed at enhancing business knowledge and skills. These support measures and services were delivered both in-person and online and were provided entirely free of charge.
