Business trainings on the "Youth Business Workshop" project have started

Business trainings have been launched in Jalilabad region within the “Youth Business Workshop” project jointly implemented by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the State Agency for Vocational Education under the Ministry of Education.

 

The training is attended by final year students studying in Jalilabad. During the training held at Jalilabad Vocational High School, young people will acquire basic business knowledge such as entrepreneurship, sales, corporate governance, digital skills, etc.by experts from the SME Development Center of SMBDA. The trainings will last a week.


 At the event dedicated to the start of trainings representatives of SMBDA, the State Employment Agency and the State Agency for Vocational Education informed about the purpose, stages and results of the project and answered the questions of the participants.

 

The purpose of the "Youth Business Workshop" project is to develop business skills and promote entrepreneurship among young people receiving vocational education, ensure self-employment, increase the number of young people with vocational training among micro and small entrepreneurs, support new business initiatives, increase interest in vocational education.

 

The project, which will cover 2021-2023, will first be implemented in Jalilabad, Agdam and Gabala districts. The project covers such areas as crop and livestock, tourism, carpet weaving, agro-technical services, carpenter, tailor, locksmith, cook, confectioner and welder.

 

Within the framework of the project, the State Agency for Vocational Education selects and educates last-year students receiving vocational education and interested in entrepreneurship. Then, SMBDA intends to involve these young people in business trainings, provide them with mentoring support, organize training and internship visits to business enterprises, and provide the young people who successfully complete the training with relevant equipment by the State Employment Agency.
