Azerbaijani startups present projects to foreign investors 31.03.22

Azerbaijani startups also presented their projects at the Global Entrepreneurship Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which was attended by hundreds of startups from around the world.

At the conference organized by the General Directorate of Small and Medium Enterprises (Monshaat) and the International Network of Entrepreneurs (GEN), with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, our startups were represented by online education abroad and online platforms that bring suppliers and providers together.

As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Conference held on March 27-30, our startups presented their projects to foreign investors and held a number of meetings in this direction.

It should be noted that one of the activities of SMBDA is to support the development of the startup ecosystem. The Agency issues a Startup Certificate to micro and small businesses, exempting them from profit and income taxes on their revenue from innovation activities for a period of 3 years.

Unibroad LLC and Supply Chain Community LLC, representing our country in Riyadh, were also awarded Startup Certificates. SMBDA also provides grants to support local startup projects, their access to global markets, and provides various activities to present their projects to local and foreign investors.
