The 11th World Halal Summit and the 10th “Halal Expo 2025” International Trade Fair have commenced in Istanbul with the support of Turkiye’s Ministry of Trade, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC).
With the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), the products and services of nearly ten local entrepreneurs are being showcased at the exhibition. The objective is to expand the international market access of Azerbaijani entrepreneurs and promote the visibility of Azerbaijani brands within the halal industry. At the “Made in Azerbaijan” pavilion, Azerbaijani producers are exhibiting honey, vegetable oils, confectionery, meat and sausage products, saffron, spices, and a variety of other goods.
Throughout the exhibition, local entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to meet with companies from other participating countries at our pavilion and establish new partnerships in the areas of export and distribution.
Turkiye’s Minister of Trade Omar Bolat and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy Rovnag Abdullayev visited Azerbaijan’s national pavilion.
The exhibition will run until 29 November.
Representatives of KOBİA also took part in the 11th World Halal Summit, which brings together stakeholders from the halal industry to discuss new opportunities and cooperation prospects in the field. During the event, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, highlighted the growing interest of Azerbaijani companies in the halal industry and the initiatives pursued in this area. It was emphasized that the global halal economy is rapidly expanding, and Azerbaijan is leveraging these opportunities both by participating in relevant international exhibitions and by strengthening international cooperation through organizing the AZHAB Forum, which was held for the second time this year.
