Azerbaijan Trade House opens in Qatar 30.10.22

The establishment of Azerbaijan trade houses abroad gives positive results, the export of our local products is encouraged, the promotion of the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand, organization and coordination of the sale of our products are successfully carried out.

As part of its visit to Qatar, the delegation headed by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov attended the inauguration of the Azerbaijan Trade House. This is Azerbaijan's thirteenth trade house that operates abroad. The Azerbaijan Trade House established in Doha due to the private investments of Azerbaijani entrepreneurs will support the promotion and expansion of the export of our local products in the Qatar market, will organize the sale of these products and strengthen coordination between entrepreneurs.

Located in the center of the capital Doha and covering an area of about 300 square meters, the Trade House offers about 600 types of products of more than 20 Azerbaijani companies - fruit and vegetables, dried fruit, national dishes, tea, jam, fruit juices, mineral waters, lemonades, canned goods, vegetable oils, milk and dairy products, confectionery, hygienic products, etc. A restaurant serving the rich cuisine of Azerbaijan operates in the Trade House.

A business meeting hall has also been created in the exhibition hall of the Trade House. This will serve to expand relations between entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Azerbaijan Trade House, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov stressed the successful growth of Azerbaijan-Qatar relations based on the values of friendship and respect for one another and claimed that the opening of the Azerbaijan Trade House in Doha is a sign of the value placed on the growth of economic and trade ties between our countries as well as Qatar's interest in Azerbaijani goods. The Minister of Economy emphasized that the activity of the Trade House will be useful in terms of stimulating new business initiatives and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Qatar.

Ibrahim Cassim Al Osman, president of United Development Company of Qatar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KOBİA, Orkhan Mammadov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Qatar, Rashad Ismayilov, noted the importance of the opening of the Azerbaijan Trade House in Doha in the development of economic partnership and the expansion of business relations. The event was attended by representatives of Qatar's Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic corps operating in the country, and businessmen.

The Azerbaijan Trade House was introduced to the attendees after the event's conclusion.
